Philipstown WireCar Foundation - Shipping & Returns

Thank you for supporting the Philipstown WireCar Foundation. Every purchase helps us empower the children of Philipstown through creative play and skills development. Please read this policy carefully so you know what to expect when ordering wire cars or merchandise.

1. Shipping

  • Courier Service Provider: All orders are shipped via The Courier Guy.
  • Domestic Shipping Times:
    • Standard Economy Service: Delivery within 36–120 hours (1.5–5 days).
    • Overnight Delivery: Inter-city deliveries average 4–6 hours, depending on flight schedules and routes.
  • International Shipping: Currently, we do not ship internationally. Customers outside South Africa should contact the Foundation directly for special arrangements until international shipping is activated.
  • Shipping Costs: Calculated at checkout based on destination, weight, and package dimensions.
  • Packaging: Items are securely packaged; fragile or high-value items may have additional protection.

2. Returns & Exchanges

Wire Cars:

  • Handmade & Unique: Each wire car is handcrafted from recycled materials and different types of wire. Minor variations are part of their charm.
  • Large Wire Cars: Designed for racing and active play. Some bending of wires or dislodged wheels is normal and can be repaired by the customer.
  • Small Wire Cars: Intended for display only; not designed for racing or rough handling.
  • Support: Our skilled wire car makers are available to guide customers with assembly of large cars for play, including steering and wheel setup.
  • Returns: We accept returns only for damaged or defective items, reported within 7 days of receipt. Items damaged through normal use are not considered defects.

Merchandise

·       Sizing & Colour: Sizes and measurements are listed; slight colour variations may occur.

  • Exchange Policy: Due to our remote location, size exchanges are unfortunately not possible.
  • Returns: Returns are accepted only for manufacturing defects or items damaged during delivery, reported within 7 days.

How to Request a Return:

1.      Email website@philipstownwirecar.com with:

o   Order number

o   Photos of the item

o   Description of the issue

2.     Our team will review your request and provide instructions for return, replacement, or refund.

3.     Approved claims are processed within 7–10 business days.
